Quality Dog Kennel Materials & Preperation

Timberbuild Dog Kennels are manufactured with Quality and Sustainable 5th Scandinavian redwood. This quality Timber ensures the Dog Kennel has a top quality finish that will last. Even the knots in the timber are live, which reduces the risk of them falling out.
All the timber used in the production of our products is supplied from FSC forests (forests managed under forest stewardship scheme). So you can be sure your choice of Dog Kennel will have no adverse effect on the environment.

Timber Dog Kennel Treatment We do not use tanalised timber for reason that can be explained if required, however the preservative that we dip ALL our panels in after manufacturer contains waxes and additives that prevent the ingress of water through the walls but in NO way harmful to animals.

Dog Kennel Roofing materials You can be sure your dog will be kept dry with Timberbuild's choice of roofing material. Timberbuild Dog Kennels and Dog Kennel Covered Runs use a 38kg green mineral felt (not shed felt) which is held in place with batons and facer boards. As an optional extra we can also provide Onduline (corrugated bitumen sheets). Onduline or PVC coated corrugated sheeting are used on our stables and larger buildings.

Exterior cladding. Ex 19mm x 125mm tongue and groove cladding, this has a finished thickness of approx 15mm. All framework on our range of products[ a heavier framework is used on larger buildings] Ex 50mmx500mm frame work with a finish size of 45mmx 45mm Fittings All our fittings are galvanised or plated to prevent against rust. Timberbuild standard mesh panels are 50mmx50mm (2"x2") 10 gauge, galvanised after manufacturer. Dog Kennel bar panels and Dog Kennel Covered Run sections are all made from 25mmx25mm box sections with 10mm solid bar at 50mm centres, galvanised after manufacturer. All Dog Kennel bar sections and Dog Kennel Covered Runs are made and galvanised in this country ensuring quality. All our doors are fully framed with all frame work screwed together for added stability.

Dog Kennel Assembly Timberbuild Dog Kennels are manufactured to high tolerances and to very high standard this means that assembly is very easy. The Dog kennels are assembled in our work shop to ensure the quality of build, we then flat pack the Kennel for easy delivery. If flat pack assembly is not your thing Timberbuild do offer to assemble your Dog Kennel on site, although our kennels are designed to be assembled with ease. All panels are pre-drilled with most of the screws already inserted, for those people with NO DIY skills whatsoever!
